He holds a laurea in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the Universita della Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy, and an MA in Italian Literature from the University of Virginia. He has taught extensively at colleges, universities, and private institutions both in Italy and in the United States, most recently at Rutgers.
